Terms of use

Pilot version in plain language, October 2026. A lawyer will review it before Afaq charges anything or leaves the pilot.

1. A free pilot

Afaq is in a free pilot. We’re testing whether founders and investors in Lebanon and abroad find it useful. You pay nothing, and we don’t ask for card details. The pilot may change or end. If we ever decide to charge, we’ll tell you first and you can leave.

2. Who can join

During the pilot, joining is by invitation from the Afaq team. You must be 18 or older and use your real name and your own email and phone number. One account per person, with one role during the pilot: founder or investor. Keep access to your email safe: anyone who can read it can log in as you.

3. Posts

Post only things that are true and that you have the right to share. Don’t put phone numbers, emails, links or social handles in posts, and don’t promise returns. The Afaq team checks every new or edited post before other members see it, and may refuse or remove posts that break these rules, mislead people or look like a scam. If you see one, use “Report this post”. When you edit a post, the Afaq team can still see what it said before.

4. “I’m interested” and introductions

When you tap “I’m interested”, the Afaq team contacts you and the other person. We share contact details only when you both agree. An introduction is only an introduction: what happens next is up to the two of you.

5. We don’t check businesses or investors

During the pilot we don’t verify identities, businesses, numbers or claims. Afaq gives no investment advice and is not a broker. Do your own checks before you agree anything, and get professional advice when it matters.

6. Money

Afaq never holds, sends or receives investment money. Any agreement and any payment is directly between members, and Afaq is not a party to it. Nobody from Afaq will ask you for money.

7. Our responsibility

We run Afaq with care, but we can’t promise it will always work or that members tell the truth. We’re not responsible for deals, losses or disputes between members.

8. Leaving

You can delete your account at any time from your profile. If someone keeps breaking these terms, we may ask them to leave and remove their posts.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the pilot goes on. If a change matters, we’ll tell you by email before it applies.
